James V. McKeon
James V. McKeon is the managing partner of Valentine Associates, LLC, a Pennsylvania-based consulting practice specializing in strategic planning, finance, performance improvement, and merger and acquisition issues. Mr. McKeon has served in executive positions of health care facilities and services companies for more than 20 years.
Currently, Mr. McKeon is active in assisting with the growth of a remote automated pharmacy dispensing company serving the long-term care industry. Additionally, Mr. McKeon is co-owner of a technology-based sports equipment company that has successfully monetized several patents.
Previously, Mr. McKeon served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Genesis HealthCare, one of the nation's largest providers of long-term care services. In addition to being the primary liaison with investors and lenders, Mr. McKeon also oversaw the company's adoption of the most rigorous elements of The Sarbanes-Oxley Act. During his tenure, the public company repaid more than $100 million in debt, grew EBITDA margins and increased market equity value by 360 percent. Value creation culminated in a very successful, competitive sale to private equity. Prior to joining Genesis in 1994, Mr. McKeon was employed by KPMG as a senior manager.
Mr. McKeon is active in advocacy causes through his seat on the board of directors of the Tug McGraw Foundation, which is focused on quality of life for brain tumor patients and their families. Mr. McKeon also serves on the board of Bancroft, a nonprofit organization that assists children and young adults with developmental challenges.
Mr. McKeon holds a bachelor of science in accountancy from Villanova University.
