Saúl Valdez, Program Officer, College Success
Saúl Valdez earned his master's in public administration with a focus on non-profit management from University of Washington's (UW) Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. While at UW, he worked closely with the Seattle Region Partnership, a public-private partnership created to streamline the way that business connects to the region's workforce, economic and education systems. He convened cross-industry professionals and coordinated workshops to help increase the number of middle-income jobs in King county. Prior to ECMC Foundation, he worked with Seattle Foundation's philanthropic advising team where he managed and advised a portfolio of donors and philanthropic partners and oversaw a youth grantmaking board.
Previously, Mr. Valdez worked as the program manager for the Latin American Association, the largest legal and social service provider for Latinos in the state of Georgia. He designed and supervised middle school and high school programs to increase the graduation rate for Latino youth in Atlanta.
Mr. Valdez holds a BS in International Business and BA in Spanish from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
