Every professional has a story about how they got to where they are today and within each story there are valuable lessons to be learned. When it comes to visualizing the future, many people believe that a four-year degree is the only route to success. We'd like to dispel that myth.
When it comes to visualizing the future we hope that those who are pursuing postsecondary education will consider how community college might be part of their story. With a community college education, students gain a valuable launching pad to higher education and rewarding careers at a fraction of the cost of a four-year degree.
That's why ECMC Foundation is collaborating with career exploration organization Roadtrip Nation to share the stories of community college alumni who have harnessed their community college education to find fulfilling work in a wide variety of fields. Use Roadtrip Nation's Share Your Road tool to share the steps you've taken to get where you are today and in the process you might just help others find their way. Share your road to—and through—community college and inspire the next generation.
Roadtrip Nation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people find career and life fulfillment by placing them on themed road trips to discover their career goal. This past summer, fueled and funded by ECMC Foundation, the Community College Roadtrip launched to help prospective, current and recently graduated community college students gain exposure to how community college can help them discover and pursue their career goals. Learn about the trip and read spotlights on the three students who participated in the cross-country adventure.
