On October 10, join ECMC Foundation's Jennifer Zeisler and other funders at an upcoming Southern California Grantmakers session on CTE. Register today to attend.
Today, there is a growing pool of living wage, middle skills jobs in fields like health care, advanced manufacturing and energy that require education and/or training beyond a high school diploma but less than a bachelor’s degree. However, employers are experiencing shortages of qualified workers to fill these quality jobs. CTE has an image problem and learners are rarely informed about the opportunities a vocational education path can open for them. The good news is that career and technical education is undergoing a renaissance in California and is becoming a promising pathway that can equip people of all ages to pursue rewarding careers and greater economic mobility.
Join Southern California Grantmakers and the Education Funders Group for a session on Career and Technical Education (“CTE”). Joining the panel of distinguished speakers, ECMC Foundation’s Jennifer Zeisler will share ECMC Foundation’s funding efforts and commitment to innovating CTE.
Register for the session on the Southern California Grantmakers website.
