Los Angeles-Based ECMC Foundation Contributes $50,000 to Relief Organizations Supporting California Fire Victims

ECMC Foundation has donated $50,000 to organizations providing relief and support to families and individuals affected by the Camp, Woolsey, Hill and other state fires.
“Our team is very saddened by the devastation that is happening across cities and towns in our state,” said Peter Taylor, president, ECMC Foundation. “While the Foundation typically focuses on postsecondary education, we felt strongly about expanding beyond our scope, in order to help our affected neighbors, colleagues, grantee partners, and strangers alike, whose lives are being impacted.”
The donation was made to the Ventura County Community Disaster Relief to benefit victims of multiple fires in Southern California and to the North Valley Community Foundation to aid victims of the Paradise Fire. Funds will provide direct services and clothing, hygiene products, and basic supplies to those affected and displaced.
“We are indebted to front-line responders who have worked tirelessly to protect homes and families,” said Jack O’Connell, ECMC Foundation Board and former California Superintendent Chair. “We are also grateful to everyone across the state who donated time, dollars and support for victims across the state.”
