California Competes released People-Powered Data: Designing a Data System for and with All Californians to discuss how to effectively design the California Cradle-to-Career Data System (C2C).

C2C provides data tools to support Californians throughout their education and career journeys.

Using data from users’ goals, needs and requirements, the report advocates for a more user-centered design to meet the needs of its diverse users, including students, educators and policymakers. The data tools should be tailored to their backgrounds, interests and comfort levels to foster deeper engagement with the data.
