More than 22 million undergraduate students in the United States are parents. The National College Transition Network is researching ways to make sure student parents are accounted for at every institution. 

The National College Transition Network provides technical assistance and professional development services to community colleges, adult education, and workforce systems.

“Transforming Data into Action: Fostering College Success for Single Mothers and Parenting Students” discusses how eight colleges transformed data into action to support the needs of single mothers and parenting students. The report provides a series of recommendations to increase colleges’ capacity to collect data to identify this critical population of students.
